5/29/2001: On the Radio! On Tuesday night May 29 Dave's "The Ballad of Rue Lafayette" was featured on the Homegrown Spotlight on WDHA, 105.5 FM

4/23/2001: Dave Murphy and Band will be playing at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ this Saturday, April 28th - 9:00 PM sharp!

Come early and have dinner.  Great food, great drink, great club!  This is a very important show for us.  I can't tell you how much we would appreciate your support!

Maxwell's is the undisputed #1 club to play in the state of New Jersey!  So please help us out if you can, it should be fun.

Performing Songwriter Magazine has chosen Under the Lights as a Top 12 Pick in the December '99 issue. Neil Fagan of Performing Songwriter Magazine calls the album "illuminating" and describes Murphy's lyrics as "eloquent."

In an article that appeared on April 29 in the Minneapolis Review, New York music critic Chris Smith writes; "The intimacy of his tales makes common subject matter compelling… a musical Raymond Carver, Murphy taps the raw nerve so many struggling songwriters can't seem to find, creating a tight focused album that delivers everything it promises."
